Art on ceramics, tile by tile

Mijntegeltableau.nl began with a simple question: why is art almost always displayed behind glass? Ceramics give an image weight and texture. Light falls differently on glaze than on paper, and the material feels naturally at home on the wall.

That is why we take a modular approach. Each artwork is divided across ceramic tiles measuring exactly 15.3 × 15.3 cm. Two by two tiles create an intimate piece measuring 30.6 × 30.6 cm; eight by five tiles create a wall-filling mural measuring 122.4 × 76.5 cm. The same design, with an entirely different presence in the room.

The collection is organised around themes and interior styles, so you can browse by both subject and style. Each design is available in several proportions and sizes, allowing the tile mural to suit your room and the wall space available.
